Announcing a new Climate and Health Learning Collaborative for local public health departments (LPHDs). Be part of a cohort of health departments across the country launching or enhancing your work to connect on important climate change, health and health equity issues. This Request for Application (RFA) is for health departments in urban areas with one or more cities of 350,000 or more. The Learning Collaborative will be supported by staff at the Center for Climate Change and Health with a suite of training, technical assistance and partner engagements that can help expand your health dept’s ability to integrate climate change efforts into one or more public health program areas while working with your peers to accelerate and share lessons and effective approaches in this complex and critical dimension of public health practice. Successful applicants will receive $30,000 over the 18 month collaborative life cycle – a modest grant to support your participation in this effort.
An informational call will be held on June 17th (10am-11am PST) for interested LPHDs. Download the RFA (link above) for more information.
